Regional Vice President Sales

Objective(s) of Position:

The Regional Vice President Sales will be responsible for all commercial activities/responsibilities in working towards the stated sales goals of the organization. In their designated area, they will be responsible for-

  • Leading the achievement of the established regional sales goals
  • Planning for and coordination of sales resources to support all personnel in region
  • Providing leadership, education and support of all sales organizations/individuals in their area
  • Clearly communicate to sales personnel all company guidelines and policies
  • Serve as a "voice" of the customer of all challenges/opportunities that exist within their areas

  • Expert in Spine surgery and expert on Precision products
  • Ability to add value to surgeons and distributors

  • Strong management skills (distributors and direct sales reps}

Responsibilities of Position:

  • Work in field 3-4 days per week with distributors, distributor sales reps and direct sales reps
  • Expand utilization of Precision products within base of current surgeon users
  • Develop new surgeon users of Precision products within current distribution network
  • Launch and grow the usage of new products with current surgeon users and distribution network
  • Build relationships with all surgeons using Precision products in Region (meetings, dinner, surgery, ...}
  • In field product training and knowledge transfer for distributors, distributor sales reps and direct sales reps
  • General Region Management of Distributors and direct sales reps (planning, management, forecasting, ...}
  • Implementation of Distributor Business Meetings/ Business Plan development
  • Creation of Regional Business Plans
  • Seek out, attract and recruit experienced sales organizations and individuals to promote the sale of company products
  • Continually evaluate the sales performance of all entities and individuals in their respective area
  • Coach the further development of the distributors and reps, by enhancing their clinical knowledge and experience with the company product portfolio
  • Work with the distributor principals on the development of bi-annual sales plans to increase sales results in their territory. Set objectives, determine resources, training, and surgeon support programs required to achieve stated sales goals
  • Work with the Director of Sales on the formation of annual business plan, including forecasting of sales, expense budgeting, establishing inventory levels required to meet the needs of the current and growing regional customer base
  • Provide company Sr. leadership with periodic sales business plan updates as requested
  • Work in coordination with in-house sales administration on obtaining and maintaining contract approval status with regional and national health care systems
  • Assist distributor partners with submission of appropriate pricing information, product registry, and clinical information in order to gain approval for company products in hospitals and ASC's
  • Provide clinical case coverage to surgeons using our products when asked or required
  • Assist the Director Clinical Education in formal training sessions offered on a regional or national basis, to all sales representatives and physicians
  • Represent the company at all industry sponsored meetings when asked or required
  • Provide Sr. sales and marketing management with critical intelligence on market trends and/or competitive activity
  • Work to assure that distributor partners follow all company "compliance" policies and guidelines
  • Other duties and responsibilities assigned by the V.P. US Sales, as needed

Required Activities/Skills:

  • The ability to travel a minimum of 70% of the time within their designated area
  • Maintain consistent communication with all assigned agents and distributors within area
  • Effectively manage the company resources and expenses within their region
  • Provide sr. management with timely follow up on all requests
  • Forecast (by sets needed) and grow new product revenue
  • Build Relationships with Key Surgeon users
  • Projections/Forecasting and Business Plans
